1942 - 2022

James Raymond Exner, 80, of DeBary, Florida, passed away with his beloved wife and
daughter by his side on Wednesday, June 22, 2022.

Originally from Syracuse, New York James was born on March 26, 1942 to Raymond and
Agnes (Lauckarn) Exner. He grew up in Mattydale with his parents and younger brother
Richard Exner. He attended St. Margaret church as a child and had many fond memories
serving as an altar boy. He graduated from North Syracuse High School and served in the
Signal Corps in the Army

Jim retired from MONY and went on to become a small business
owner of a small convenience store and gas station called the Village Stop n Shop in Central
Square for many years.

Jim had a great sense of humor and loved telling jokes and getting a
laugh out of anyone he came across. He loved living on the water in his home in Phoenix and
boating and waterskiing in his younger years. He was a big animal lover and rescued many
homeless animals over his lifetime.

Jim is predeceased by his father Raymond, his mother Agnes, and his brother Richard. He is
survived by his wife Donna (Odjick) Exner, his children and spouses James Exner Jr.,Jeffrey
(Emily) Exner, Jennifer (Justin) Lowe, and Jason Exner, and eleven grandchildren.

Services will be held in the chapel at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on September 17th at 10 AM.
The address is 8668 Oswego Road, Baldwinsville New York. A celebration of life will follow at
8671 Lavender Lane, Cicero New York.
