1949 - 2022

Richard Vance Dickerson, age 73, of Orlando, Florida passed away on November 23, 2022. He was born in Champaign, IL on October 27, 1949 to Bernard and Martha Dickerson, along with his sister Donna Dickerson Sartor.

Rick grew up in Satellite Beach, FL where he met his high school sweetheart and wife of 34 years, Tina. Rick then attended the University of South Florida where he received a Bachelor's degree in Education. Rick and Tina relocated to Orlando, FL where he began his career as a feeder driver for UPS and retired with 35 years. They had two children, Matt and Jesse. Rick was very excited to share a birthday this year with his first granddaughter, Ellie. Rick enjoyed working around the house, golfing and was an avid Florida State fan.

Rick is preceded in death by Tina and Matt.

Rick is survived by his wife of 9 years, Patty. Rick and Patty enjoyed their time going to the beach and traveling

He is also survived by his daughter,Jesse, and her partner Ron, stepchildren, Kari (Ted) Caviglia and George (Dusty) Ward, grandchildren, Ellie, Jalyssa, Dominic, Bryce, Maddie, and Theo, his sister, Donna Dickerson Sartor, sister-in-law, Jan, brothers-in-law, Bob and Bill, nieces, Wendy and Kim, nephews, Bo and Sean.

Friends are invited to join the family following the Visitation/Celebration of Life for a gathering at the Fraternal Order of Eagles located at 1900 S. Goldenrod Rd., Orlando, FL 32822.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Rick.
