Bill was born in Cincinnati, Ohio 1929 to Elizabeth and William Sherman Neff, Sr.

After graduation from Walnut Hills High School in 1948, Bill enlisted in U.S. Army and was shipped to Japan in December 1948.

He served in General MacArthur’s Honor Guard in Korean War.

Bill was an ROTC instructor at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, California.

In 1956 he graduated as 2nd Lt from Ft. Benning, GA Officer’s Candidate School (OCS).

Bill Served in the 101st Airborne, Ft. Campbell, KY.

President Dwight D. Eisenhower sent his unit to Little Rock, Arkansas to integrate Central High School (The Little Rock Nine).

He spent three years in special weapons unit Germany.

Bill married the love of his life Miriam Rodriquez Arce on January 19, 1963, in state of Alabama.

He served a year in Vietnam (1965-1966) as advisor to Vietnam Army Unit and received Air Medal, Presidential Unit Citation.

Bill was Trooper Commander at Defense Language Institute (DLI).

He retired from the Army 1968, attaining the rank of Major.

Bill's only child Elizabeth, his greatest love, was born September 28, 1971.

He worked for the Post Office in Orlando for 27 years and retired 2001.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, daughter, and “grandson” Shadow.
