Loretta Mae Glennon, age 88, of Winter Park, Florida passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Eugene Glennon and parents, Harvey Weber and Johanna Weber.

She is survived by son, Thomas Glennon, daughter, Lisa Stough, son, Christopher Glennon, daughter, Shannon Glennon, grandchildren, Caitlyn Glennon, Kerri Balint, Kelsey Glennon, Joshua Stough, Jacqueline Stough, Matthew Glennon, Madeline Glennon, Brittney Rowland and Daphney Rowland, great-grandchildren, Dalton Stough, Jaden Stough and Madison Stough, and sister, Georgiana Stewart.

Loretta was born in the dust bowl years of the 1930s and grew up on the great plains of Oklahoma with her sister and parents. Seeking better opportunities after high school, she supported herself through nursing school where she met her future husband, Richard. They married soon after graduation and Loretta gradually transitioned from nursing to homemaker after the birth of their first child, Thomas in 1958. Her family expanded with the addition of 3 more children during the next decade which also brought a move to Winter Park, FL in 1966. It would become her permanent home base for the next 56 years. In addition to her long and active period of motherhood, Loretta also enjoyed a host of engaging hobbies and activities. She loved to travel the world and saw a good deal of Europe on several excursions. She had a passionate artistic hand which explored painting and stained glass to an exceptional level. She was a consummate seamstress. She loved her weekend football on TV and together with Richard could complete the Sunday crossword in record time. Best of all, she loved knowing what her children and grandchildren were doing and made every effort to be there for them. Her love lives on in all the hearts she touched during her long, rich life.

Private services will be held by the family.
