Our dear Jean Ann Byrd, age 94, of Altamonte Springs, Florida, went to Heaven to be with Jesus on Sunday, March 19, 2023. Jean was born March 1, 1929, to Benjamin and Array Byrd. Jean was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, mother, and friend to many, all whom she loved and cherished. Jean was mother of four children, Cherry, Renae, Stephen, and Marissa. She will be dearly missed by all who came in contact with her. She always had a life lesson for anyone who came into her presence.

Jean leaves to mourn, her sister, Ruth Smith and a daughter, Cherry Cunningham. She has two grandchildren that are still living, Ominike Shellings, Deric Stubbs, two heavenly grandchildren, Eric Stubbs and Billy Stubbs. She has several great-grands and three great-great grandchildren. Three first cousins, Ms. Emerelle McNair Ed. D., Ms. Beverly McNair, and Dr. Kimble McNair, M.D. Plus several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

She was a member of Greater Grant Memorial A.M.E. in Jacksonville, FL. before coming to live with her daughter and joining Allen Chapel-Sanford A.M.E.

A Celebration of life service will be held Monday, March 27, 2023, at 1pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 335 E. State Rd. 434, Longwood, FL 32750.
