In Memory Of
Angel Manuel Crespo
1951 - 2023
Angel’s parents moved to Brooklyn in 1959. Angel and his brother, José, followed January 1960. The family lived on Luquer Street in Carroll Gardens. Angel would drive by as an adult and always point out the house to his boys, proudly reminding them it was the first New York City residence for his family. He started the third grade at PS 58, went on to middle school and then graduated from Aviation High School in 1969. He obtained his degree in Applied Sciences from New York City Community College in 1972. Angel had three jobs in his lifetime: a cashier at Mays Department Store, a technician for 3M, and his lifelong career at AT&T, from which he retired.
Around 1974 he met Rev. Joseph Santiago (Abi’s father). As he used to do, Rev. Joe introduced Angel to the church then invited Angel to the house for conversation. This was the beginning of Angel’s relationship with Abi.
Angel & Abi married November 12, 1977 and were blessed with two wonderful sons, Christopher Alexander and Joseph John. These boys were Angel’s joy and delight. Angel’s best times were always with his boys and his family, his nieces, nephews, along with his great nieces and great nephews, who all brought him great joy and pride.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 am - 11:30 am on Friday May 26, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Longwood, 335 E. State Road 434, Longwood, Florida 32750.
The Funeral Ceremony will begin at 11:30 am.
Interment will follow at All Faiths Memorial Park.
