Adria A. Llanio

Adria A. Llanio, age 87, of Orlando, Florida, passed peacefully on Thursday, July 9th, 2026. She was born in Habana, Cuba on January 12th, 1939, to Jose Trespalacios and Dilia Alfonso. She married Felipe Antonio Llanio and gave birth to their first daughter while still in Cuba. They later migrated to Venezuela after the Castro Revolution and bore five more daughters in Caracas, Venezuela. She was a great home maker, taking care of six daughters while her husband worked to support the family. Through all the long days of responsibilities, they still managed a lot of family time, including frequent trips to the beach, showing her children how to play chess, monopoly and checkers, created memorable Christmas’s and many other events showing how dedicated she was to her daughters. The family migrated to New Jersey, USA, after her husband was diagnosed with cancer in December 1977 to be closer to the extended family. After her husband’s passing months later, Adria had to step up as head of household in a country in which she did not speak the language, raise six girls ages 8 – 16 and learn to build a home without her partner. She amazingly accomplished these goals through strength, endurance and determination. She later moved to Orlando, Florida, where she resided for the last thirty-eight years of her life and called Orlando home. She taught her daughters right from wrong and through her wisdom, created daughters that became strong, successful and independent. Her daughters then gifted Adria with grandchildren, whom she helped raise wherever and whenever needed. Her grandchildren then gifted her with great-grandchildren. Her love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was undeniable. She brought many laughs to those around her; we will carry her forever in our hearts.

The Matriarch, Adria A. Llanio. She is survived by six daughters; Marcia Casas, Dania Lopez, Belinda Dickey, Dulce Sheltrown, Isabel Llanio & Beatriz Llanio, nineteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. A life well lived! 

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday, July 21st at Newcomer Funeral Home, South Seminole - 335 E State Rd 434, Longwood, FL 32750; Funeral/Mass Service 10:00 – 11:00 am Wednesday, July 22nd at Annunciation Catholic Church -1020 Montgomery Rd, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714; Reception from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 22nd immediately following the mass at the St. Gabriel building.
