Aida L. Arenas Miranda

Aida L. Arenas Miranda, age 88, of Merritt Island, Florida passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026.

Aida L. Arenas was a devoted woman of faith, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She lived her life with a generous heart, a strong love for God, and an unwavering devotion to her family.

Aida was one of nine siblings who were raised in a deeply grounded Christian family. Faith and family were at the heart of their home. They sang together, worshipped together, and shared a beautiful love and bond that remained throughout their lives.

Aida dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse. Her compassion for people was not simply her profession—it was who she was. She was always giving, always helping, and always willing to put someone else’s needs before her own.

Her relationship with God was the foundation of her life. She was an active member of her church and had a deep desire to understand and grow in her faith. She attended university to study the Bible in Latin, reflecting her lifelong love of Scripture and her desire to know God’s Word more deeply.

Aida’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife to Valentin A. Arenas and a loving mother to Valentin Arenas, Jorge L. Arenas, and Valerie A. Hughes. She treasured her grandchildren, Joshua V. Hughes, Alexis V. Arenas, Dax Hughes and Liam Arenas, and was blessed with two great-grandchildren, Tommis H. Hughes and Charlie V. Hughes.

Her home was always open to family and friends. There was always a place at her table and always something to share. Aida was the kind of person who would give up her own food to make sure someone else was fed. She gave generously, loved unconditionally, and never hesitated to help someone in need.

She leaves behind a legacy that cannot be measured in possessions, but in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely. Her faith, kindness, generosity, and love for family will continue through the generations.

Although our hearts are heavy with her passing, we find comfort knowing that Aida is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior, reunited with her loved ones who went before her.

Aida was a faithful servant of God, a woman who loved deeply and gave selflessly. She will be forever loved, forever remembered, and deeply missed.

Until we meet again, Mom. We love you forever. 🕊️❤️

Visitation is Monday, September 21, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with funeral service starting at 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (East Orlando Chapel), 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando, Florida 32822.

Interment will be Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at 12:30pm at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims, FL.
