Ana T. Mejia, of Orlando, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026, in Orlando, Florida. Born on June 10, 1937, in Guatemala, Ana’s life was marked by unwavering commitment to her family and the many roles she embraced with grace and excellence.
Ana pursued her education with determination, studying medical sciences in Guatemala to become a nurse. Her compassionate nature led her to provide exceptional care for her patients, so deeply did she care that she was eventually moved to the reception area, where fate brought her together with her beloved husband. In the 1970s, Ana further expanded her talents by studying cosmetology in New York, demonstrating her versatility and desire to continually grow.
Throughout her life, Ana was known for her hardworking spirit and perfectionist approach to every responsibility she undertook. She carried immense pride in her work and was recognized for her caring, friendly, and warm nature. Above all, Ana loved her family dearly and found her greatest joy in their company.
Ana’s proudest accomplishments reflected her deep love and commitment to those closest to her. She cherished her sixty years of marriage to Oscar Eduardo Mejia, together weathering life’s challenges and triumphs. She was an unwavering support to her children as they pursued their dreams, embodying the true essence of a loving mother. The warmth of family gatherings, especially having everyone around the dinner table and sharing special moments like “our traguito” with Mamita and Daddy, were some of the fondest memories she leaves behind.
Ana is survived by her daughter Norma Lilliana Mejia, her son Oscar Ivan Mejia, daughter Ingrid Dominguez, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her legacy of love and strength. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar E. Mejia, to whom she is now reunited, finally together again in heaven.
Ana T. Mejia’s life was a testament to dedication, kindness, and profound love. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her, as a shining example of warmth, generosity, and enduring family devotion.
