Listen to Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Anita L. Werzyn, who entered eternal rest on March 24, 2026, in Orlando, Florida. She left us just short of her 80th birthday, at the age of 79.

Born in the Philippines, Anita moved to the United States in the early 1970s and spent most of her adult life in Florida, with a brief chapter in Manhattan that became part of her rich and memorable life story. No matter where life took her, she carried herself with a special kind of strength and class that made a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Our mom was classy, fearless, hardworking, loyal, and loved her family fiercely. More than anything, she dedicated her life to making sure her children had the opportunity to succeed and build meaningful lives for themselves and their families. That was who she was at her core—someone who gave deeply, loved fully, and always wanted the best for the people she cared about.

She loved keeping in touch with friends, spending time with family, traveling, keeping an organized and beautiful homestead, taking special care of her garden and beautiful collection of plants, and relaxing with a good book. She had traveled all over the world and embraced life with curiosity, appreciation, and grace. She also had an extraordinary eye for detail and a natural sense of style that brought beauty, order, and intention into every part of her life. She noticed the little things, cared about doing things well, and left a lasting impression through the thoughtfulness she brought to everything she did.

Mom was also a woman of Catholic faith, and her generosity extended beyond her family through her support of charitable causes.

She is survived by her children, Noel De La Cruz, Gemma Reyes, and Eddy Werzyn; her beloved grandchildren, Terrence Reyes, Shane Reyes, Sean Reyes, Ashley Reyes, Abby Reyes, Dylan Lambries, Jesse Lambries, Landon Werzyn, and Liam Werzyn; and her great-grandchild, Oliver Reyes.

We will remember our mom for her strength, her loyalty, her elegance, and the fierce love she gave to our family every single day. She meant so much to us, and the love, values, and care she gave will stay with us always.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
