Belinda Saunders, beloved mother and cherished friend, passed away on July 22, 2025, in Lake Mary, Florida, at the age of 66. Born on June 7, 1959, in Man, West Virginia, and moved to Florida following the flooding in Accoville, West Virginia during high school. Belinda led a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep commitment to her family.
Belinda dedicated 35 years of her career to school bus transportation, where she became a familiar and friendly face for countless children and families. Her dedication and professionalism shone through in every route she took, leaving a lasting impression on the community she served.
While Belinda was known for her hard work, she also had a zest for life that was evident in her love for travel, particularly with her sons, Joshua and Jeremy. They shared many adventures together, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Known for her adventurous spirit, she was always willing to go anywhere and do anything, as long as she didn’t have to drive.
Belinda is survived by her sons, Joshua Saunders and Jeremy Saunders; her daughter, Nicole Strickland; and her granddaughter, Jayla (Milo) Saunders. She also leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience that will resonate with all who knew her.
Belinda was preceded in death by her husband, Ricky Saunders; her son, Jason Saunders; and her parents, Ferna "Hallie" Stapleton and Earl "Bob" Stapleton. She deeply missed her family and fiends that passed before her.
As we reflect on Belinda’s life, we remember her warmth, kindness, and the wonderful memories she created with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
