Betsy Anne Marshall

Died unexpectedly August 7, 2025 after GI complications. Betsy was born May 18, 1954 in Stoneham, Massachusetts to Kenneth & Nancy Leland. She was the oldest and only daughter of 4 children. Betsy enjoyed time with family and learned a love for sewing from time spent with her Aunt Ruth and friend Kim Bolton and her mother. She attended Northeast Regional Technical High School where she studied health sciences and met her soulmate Steven Marshall.

Betsy and Steve enlisted in the US Air Force in 1972 and Betsy was assigned in Washington State until reuniting with Steven in Texas where they were married and later went on to an assignment in England. Betsy and Steve returned from the military on leave loving time with their family, enjoying nieces and nephews. Betsy went on to be a Mother to Jennifer and Steven Jr and adored time and involvement with her children and their interests in dance, hockey, and music while living in Malden MA and o Orlando FL.

Betsy’s love for healthcare and helping others led to her work at New England Memorial Hospital and after the family relocated to Florida in 1992, Betsy again worked in the healthcare field at Winter Park Hospital. Betsy had a great love for animals and she and Steve enjoyed their time with their pets rescuing 5 lab mixed dogs and many cats over the years.

Betsy later left healthcare and found a position with the SeaWorld production “Big Splash Bash” where she used her sewing skills in costuming dancers back stage, one of her favorite working roles. Betsy adored becoming a grandmother witnessing her first grandson Charlie’s birth and welcomed Ethan her second grandson 4 years later. Betsy and Steve were married for almost 52 years and their signature to each other’s love was Always & Forever.

Betsy is preceded in death by her father Kenneth Leland and her brother Kenneth Leland Jr.. She leaves behind her husband Steven Marshall, daughter Jennifer and Chuck Jones, grandson Charlie Jones, son Steven Jr and his son Ethan, Mother Nancy Zegouros, brothers David and Richard Leland, Aunt Ruth Leland Layton, Aunt Judy Francis, in laws Jack & Linda Marshall and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date this fall and Betsy will be interred with military honors at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
