Betty Jean Whitesell of Orlando, Florida passed away peacefully on March 17, 2024 after a courageous five year battle with ovarian cancer. She spent her last days, surrounded by family and friends in the comfort of her home.
Betty Jean was born March 6, 1942 in Marion, South Carolina. She went to nursing school to become a registered nurse where she was introduced to the love of her life Joel Emerson Whitesell. They were married August 30, 1964 where they spent 56 wonderful years together until Joel's passing in December of 2020.
Betty Jean was known by many as BJ. She is survived by her sons, David Brian Whitesell, and Jonathan Paul Whitesell, grandchildren, Antonio Jon Whitesell and Lorenzo Paul Whitesell.
