It is with great sadness that we share the passing of William F. Keyser (Bill), 79, of Orlando, Florida, who died peacefully on April 3, 2026. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marjorie Michele (Silvers) Keyser. Bill was born on June 27, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, and was preceded in death by his parents, John McFarland Keyser and Louise McClenahan Keyser. He retired from the U.S. Navy and the Orlando Sentinel. Known for his quick wit and his love of boating and fishing, Bill spent every free weekend he could on the water with his family.
In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his son, Jeff Keyser; his daughters, Cathie (Keyser) Gutman, Cyndee (Keyser) Sampson, Jenny (Keyser) Gehlman, LeAnna (Keyser) Anderson, and Lori (Keyser) Rojas; his sister, Lynn (Keyser) Davis, and brother-in-law, Rick Davis; his sister- and brother-in-law, Dan and Marissa Roberts; and his nieces and nephew, Jennifer Hancock, Katie Carlton, and Bart Davis. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Trissy Waters, Hope Randall, Nathan Gutman, Rachel Aveni, Caleb Gutman, Elijah Gutman, Isaac Gutman, Allison Keyser, Sidney Sampson, Andrena Sampson-Sherman, Dustine DePaola, Lucas Gehlman, Nicholas Gehlman, Cameron Gehlman, Austin Anderson, Ryan Anderson, Kaleb Raetz, and Carter Raetz; and by 17 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his half brothers and sisters: Becky Ryan, Vicki Alter, Pam Begley, Dick Smith, Sally Maticka, Bobbie Jo Shaw, Pat Smith, and Tammy Smith.
A memorial service will be held on April 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Episcopal Church, 26 Willow Drive, Orlando, FL 32807. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Bill faithfully volunteered with the church’s food pantry. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the food pantry at Christ the King Episcopal Church in Bill’s memory.
