Billy George Waddle Jr., 63, passed away peacefully at his home in DeLand, Florida, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, after a long battle with cancer.
Billy was a loving father, brother, uncle, and friend who was known for his protective nature, generous spirit, and deep love for both his family and work family. He dedicated more than 44 years to Massy Cadillac, beginning as a parts runner and ultimately serving as Fixed Operations Director. Billy truly loved his job and the people he worked alongside throughout the years.
Billy is survived by his children, Landon, Kambly, and Levi Waddle; his former wife, Karrie Ann Waddle; siblings Dawn Randolph, Melody Wendland, Thomas Waddle, and Christopher Waddle; four nieces, two nephews, six great-nieces, nine great-nephews, two great-great-nieces, and two great-great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Ann Waddle; his father, Billy G. Waddle; and his niece, Brandy M. Wendland.
Beyond his career, Billy made a lasting impact in his community. He worked closely with Seminole State College mentoring young mechanics through internship opportunities, helping students gain valuable hands-on experience as they entered the automotive industry. He also volunteered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, sharing his love of bass fishing and the outdoors with children facing serious illness.
Billy had a lifelong passion for sports and the water. He played baseball and softball and spent more than 30 years fishing, winning numerous bass fishing tournaments over the years. To know Billy was to know his love for being on the water and the joy he found in sharing those moments with others.
Above all else, Billy’s greatest accomplishment was the love he gave to his family, friends, coworkers, and everyone fortunate enough to know him.
