Carmen M. Diaz

June 18, 1942 — October 30, 2024

Orlando

Carmen M. Diaz, age 82, of Orlando, Florida, passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 30, 2024.

She was born on June 18, 1942 in Río Grande, Puerto Rico, to parents Julio Diaz and Generosa Charbonier. Raised a Catholic from birth, she remained a devoted follower of God throughout her entire life.

Carmen was most at home in the kitchen, where she spent much of her time cooking for her loved ones. When she wasn't cooking, she was dancing. She also enjoyed reading, sowing, cleaning, and watching TV. She often "helped" the squads of countless police shows solve their cases.

Her greatest love was her family. She was always excited when they came to visit and cherished every moment spent together.

She is survived by her son, Angel Delgado-Diaz; her daughters, Marilyn Palacios and Lydia I. Crespo; ten grandchildren: Sandra, Ashley, Aris, Daniel, Hamid, Nayeli, Armando, Kendal, Banyier, and Sebastian; and eleven great-grandchildren: Sandra, Immanuel, Angela, Gabrielle, Jade, Emma, Theo, Tahyara, Elijah, Penelope, and Phoenix.

Carmen taught us that life is best lived with faith, family, and love. So in her memory, let us continue to cook, to eat, to laugh, to sing, to pray, to come together, and yes - to dance.
