She was born June 10, 1933 in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, , the daughter of Asuncion Fuentes and Enriqueta Zambrana. On January 5, 1951 she married her beloved husband, Pedro Ortiz.
Carmen is survived by her Husband, Pedro Ortiz; daughters - Carmen Iris Cruz of Coral Springs, FL, Maria E. Ortiz of Bronx, New York, Madeline Malave of Orlando, FL; son - Pedro Luis Ortiz of Orlando, FL; 9 Grandchildren; 7 Great Grandchildren; 3 Sisters - Esther Zambrana, Maria I. Fuentes and Felicita Fuentes; several nieces and nephews.
