In Loving Memory of Chandler

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our beloved Chandler Joseph Pomponio, who was just 26 years old and would have celebrated his 27th birthday on September 17th.

Although Chandler’s life was far too short, the impact he made on everyone around him was anything but small. He was genuinely one of the kindest people you could ever meet—patient, gentle, calm, compassionate, and always willing to remind the people he loved that they mattered. He had a rare ability to make others feel valued, supported, and loved simply by being their friend.

Chandler was deeply loved by his family, especially his father, who raised and guided him, and his grandmother, who cherished him dearly. He was also a loyal and caring friend who encouraged others, reminded them they were doing a great job, and was always there when they needed him.

He had a deep love for sports and music. He enjoyed all sports and loved the way they brought people together. Music was another passion of his, with an appreciation for every genre, and he even created music of his own as a way to express himself.

To know Chandler was to know someone with a truly good heart. His kindness, humor, loyalty, and gentle spirit touched countless lives. While we grieve the future he should have had, we are grateful for the memories, laughter, conversations, and love he gave so freely.

Chandler is survived by his father Joesph Charles Pomponio, his mother Marjorie Arner, and grandmother Denise Chubin.

Chandler deserved a long life, but the 26 years he was given were filled with love and memories that will stay with us forever. He will always be loved, always be remembered, and never be forgotten.

“to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor

and the day of vengeance of our God,

to comfort all who mourn,

and provide for those who grieve in Zion

to bestow on them a crown of beauty

instead of ashes,

the oil of joy

instead of mourning,

and a garment of praise

instead of a spirit of despair.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 13, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Winter Park Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Friday, August 14, 2026 at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow at Queen of Angels Cemetery, Winter Park, Florida.
