Listen to Obituary

Charles Joseph Beumer, lovingly known by all as “Pops,” passed away surrounded by his family, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion. He was a man whose heart belonged to his family and whose presence brought warmth to every room he entered.

For 30 beautiful years, Pops shared his life with the love of his life, Laurie. Together, they built a home full of joy with their four children—Christina, Zane, David, and Jenniffer—and their family continued to grow with twelve grandchildren: Jojo, Mikala, Katelan, Joshua, Brandon, Aiden, Tison, Jayden, Kai, Christian, Niko, and Jaxson. His 2 Bonus grandchildren Bryce and Maddie. Pops also welcomed son-in-law Peter and daughter-in-law Martha into the family.

He is survived by his wife Laurie, his children and grandchildren, his sister Deb, brother-in-law Jack, sister-in-law Rachael, nieces Keri, Taba, Courtney, and Deborah, nephews Danny, Michael, and Michael, great-niece Stella, and great-nephew Landen. He also had a special place in his heart for his loyal dog, Laci, who was always by his side.

Pops was more than a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend—he was a guiding light, a steady hand, and a storyteller whose wisdom and humor will be deeply missed. He found his greatest happiness in simple moments: family gatherings, watching his grandchildren grow, and cherishing the unbreakable bond he created with everyone who knew him.

Though our hearts are heavy, we celebrate the incredible life Pops lived and the love he gave so freely. His legacy will live on in the lessons he taught, the stories he shared, and the unconditional love he poured into his family.
