Charles E. Lufcy, a devoted lifelong business owner and self-made entrepreneur, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026, in Orlando, Florida. Born on August 19, 1949, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Charles moved to Orlando in 1973. He dedicated his life to building multiple successful businesses, a testament to his unwavering determination and relentless work ethic.
Known for his remarkable attention to detail and perfectionism, Charles approached every endeavor with intelligence and wit that endeared him to many. His excellent sense of humor—often playfully inappropriate—and infectious smile brightened the lives of those around him. Beyond his business accomplishments, Charles was a generous and kind friend to all, a great listener, and an empathetic soul who deeply valued connection.
Family was at the heart of Charles’s life. A proud father, his greatest accomplishments were his children, whom he worked tirelessly to provide for and spoke about with immense pride. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Kim Minors, and his children: Jahson M. (Jasmine) Lufcy, Keturah L. Franchell, Lael (Randy) Reitler, Micaiah J. (Shannon) Lufcy, Noah J. (Nadine) Lufcy, Bithiah A. Lufcy, Scenta Lufcy, and Judah M. (Alecia) Lufcy. He was also a cherished grandfather to Kelsey, Aubrey, Jenna, Kianah, and Quinn. He also treasured his role as a great‑grandfather to Ava and Sophia. He is further survived by his first wife, Candida M. Garza; his brothers, Robert L. Lufcy Jr., David Lufcy, and Matthew Lufcy; and his nieces, Leanna Rene and Angela Lacey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Alma Lufcy, and his sister, LaDonna Porter.
Charles’s love for life extended beyond his family and work to his many interests. He enjoyed traveling, savoring fine cigars and wine, dining out, and had a deep appreciation for history. His passion for nature often took him to the beach, the mountains, and boating on the river—places where he found peace and joy.
Charles E. Lufcy’s legacy of hard work, generosity, humor, and love for his family and friends will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit, laughter, and the memories he created will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
