Christine Stokes, age 80, of Orlando, FL passed away March 8, 2017.
She was born on July 27, 1936 in Greenville, NC to the late James and Ida Short. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "Joe" Lee Stokes and son, Joseph Stokes.
She is survived by her children, Shelia A. Bayley, Pamela D. Grahan, Jeffrey Stokes, and Dempsey Short; 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, God daughter, Krystal Phillips; and sisters, Iclene Gilchrist and Mamie Dupree.
Visitation is Thursday March 23, 2017 from 11am to 1pm with funeral service starting at 1pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home (East Orlando Chapel).
Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Orlando, FL.
