Cindy L. Romero, born on July 13, 2000, in Alexandria, Virginia, tragically passed away on September 13, 2025, in Apopka, Florida. At the tender age of 25, Cindy's vibrant spirit and warmth touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.
Cindy was known for her ability to brighten any room she entered. Her presence had an extraordinary way of changing the atmosphere to a positive one, a quality that endeared her to family and friends alike. She was a devoted mother, with her children—Leonardo Ching, Julian Burchell, and Lissette Burchell—being her proudest accomplishments. Cindy’s unwavering love for her children shone brightly in all aspects of her life.
In addition to her role as a mother, Cindy was a beacon of joy and enthusiasm. Her love of food, music, and dancing reflected her fun-loving personality. Family vacations, notably to Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina and trips to St. Augustine, will be cherished memories for those closest to her. Days spent at the zoo and her enthusiasm for theme parks, especially Busch Gardens, highlighted her adventurous spirit and love for creating beautiful moments with her loved ones.
Cindy was educated at Winter Springs High School, graduating in 2019 before pursuing a degree in medical administration at UMA, where she earned her associate's degree and was actively pursuing her bachelor's degree.
She is survived by her loving family: her mother, Wendy Guzzo; father, Joseph Guzzo; fiancé, Jaylan Burchell; sons, Leonardo Ching and Julian Burchell; daughter, Lissette Burchell; brothers, Daniel Amaya and Joshua Mancia; sisters, Emily Amaya, Melany Mancia, and Lena Guzzo; grandmother, Maria Graham; and aunt, Frances Cortez.
Cindy was preceded in death by her beloved grandfather, Clyde Graham, who surely welcomed her with open arms.
A visitation in honor of Cindy will take place on September 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, South Seminole, located at 335 E State Rd 434, Longwood, FL 32750, followed by a funeral service commencing at 12:00 PM. Her burial will be held at Edgewood-Greenwood Cemetery in Apopka, FL, at 2:00 PM.
Cindy L. Romero will be deeply missed, yet her light, laughter, and love will forever remain in the hearts of her family and all who had the good fortune to know her.
