Crucita was born on December 24, 1921 in Villalba, Puerto Rico to the late Nacario Marrero and Barbarina Hernandez.
Crucita is survived by her son, Tony Ayala; daughter, Virginia Ayala; son, Dr. Dwight Ayala; brothers, Flores Marrero and Jose Marrero; sisters, Eufima Marrero, Rosa Nieves and Lydia Marrero; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
