Listen to Obituary

Daniel Villarreal, beloved husband, father, Pops, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Orlando, Florida, on September 26, 2025. He was surrounded by his devoted wife and two loving daughters. Daniel lived a life deeply rooted in faith and family, always putting others before himself.

Born on May 22, 1959, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Elias “Joe” and Thelma (Palmer) Villarreal, Daniel was the third of five children. He grew up in Nederland, Texas, where he graduated from Nederland High School and thrived as a football and basketball player. He went on to attend Lamar University, earning a degree in Electrical Engineering. Shortly after graduation, he began his career with Eastman Kodak in Houston, Texas.

For more than 32 years, Daniel worked in print and marketing sales, where he built a reputation for integrity, dedication, and genuine care for his customers. He was proud of the lifelong relationships he nurtured throughout his career. Daniel retired in May 2024, closing a chapter marked by hard work, perseverance, and kindness.

Daniel met the love of his life, Alisa (Stout), in Houston in 1983. The two married in November 1986 and spent nearly four decades together building a life filled with love and adventure. Whether dancing, watching movies, enjoying beach trips, escaping to the mountains, tackling home projects, or gathering with friends, Daniel and Alisa treasured every moment spent side by side.

Of all his roles, none meant more to Daniel than being a father and Pops. He cherished his daughters and their spouses, and his greatest joy was time spent with his grandchildren. Whether taking them on “adventures,” reading stories, or simply playing together, Daniel’s presence was a constant source of love, laughter, and guidance.

Daniel will be remembered for his booming voice, quick wit, warm humor, and the way he could make anyone feel instantly at home. He had a servant’s heart and never hesitated to help others in need. His legacy of love, generosity, and faith will live on through all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thelma (Palmer) and Elias “Joe” Villarreal. Daniel is survived by his devoted wife, Alisa; his daughters Nicole (Paul) Silliman and Melissa (Layne) Vaughn; his treasured grandchildren Jordyn and Knox; his siblings Theresa Moeller, Mary Bonrepos, Manuel Villarreal, and Oscar Villarreal; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends he considered family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at University Presbyterian Church located at 2562 Rouse Road, Orlando, FL 32817, followed by a reception with refreshments. Family and friends are warmly invited to join in honoring Daniel’s memory, and are encouraged to dress in colorful attire, reflecting the vibrant spirit with which he lived his life.
