David William Droke, born June 20, 1963, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away peacefully on 26, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 62 years old.
David moved to Orlando, Florida, with his family at the age of four and proudly called it home ever since. A graduate of Colonial High School, Class of 1981, David went on to work in a variety of roles before building a career as a skilled technician at Stanley. Known for his hard work and dedication, David took pride in everything he did.
Outside of work, David loved nothing more than spending time outdoors — especially when he was fishing. He was a good man with a big heart, always willing to lend a hand.
David is survived by his son, Dylan Droke; father, Hezzie Lee Droke; second mom, Laura Droke; brother, Darren Droke; sister, Denise Duawe-Ludlow; aunt, Kittsie Marote; uncle, John Droke; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Collins Spagnola.
David faced his illness with remarkable strength and resilience, never giving up hope. His courage, warmth, and love will continue to inspire those who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
A Celebration of David's Life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home, East Orlando Chapel. The family will receive friends starting at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
