David Mitchell Latoff

On June 19, 2025, David M. Latoff, age 64, passed away in Orlando, Florida. He was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania, on December 19, 1960, to the late Joseph R and Joan M Latoff.

David grew up in the Lehigh Valley area and graduated from Salisbury High School in Allentown, PA, where he developed lifelong friendships. He later attended Valencia College in Orlando, FL.

He was a devoted father to his children, Austin and Kimber, always attending every event - baseball, soccer, basketball, swimming, and he especially loved their school programs and Christmas recitals.

David was a UAW member and worked at Mack Trucks in Allentown, and later at the South Carolina Plant in Winnsboro. David later opened his own painting contracting business in Florida.

He enjoyed spending his time with his family, especially his son Austin and daughter Kimber. Fishing was a passion developed early in life alongside his brother, Joseph, and his Pop Pop DeAbreu in Brigantine, NJ, where the family spent many summer vacations.  David loved going to Cocoa Beach and fishing there and along the banks of the Indian and Banana Rivers.

David was an avid baseball fan.  He grew up playing baseball, and was a lifetime Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan, as well as Penn State football. He loved his cats rescuing many over his lifetime who could be counted among his best friends.

David is survived by his son Austin M. Latoff and his daughter-in-law, Emma Hill; his daughter Kimber M. Latoff; and his brother and sister-in-law Joseph E. and Adrienne R. Latoff of New Smyrna Beach, FL. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph R and Joan M (DeAbreu) Latoff, of Allentown. 

He leaves behind his beloved kitties, and fond memories to many good friends, family, aunts, and cousins.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 11, 2025 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando. 

Funeral services will begin at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. 

Interment will follow at Edgewood-Greenwood Cemetery, 141 Edgewood Street, Apopka, FL.
