In Loving Memory of Diwer Vargas

With heavy hearts, yet with the blessed assurance and hope found in our Lord Jesus Christ, we announce that Diwer Vargas was called to his heavenly home and into the loving presence of his Savior on June 20, 2026.

Born on January 26, 1957, in Bogotá, Colombia, Diwer lived a life marked by kindness, humility, and unwavering devotion to his family. He was known as a dedicated and loving family man, a gentle soul, and someone who was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His life was a beautiful reflection of God's love through service, compassion, and generosity.

Diwer spent much of his professional life working in the banking industry, where he faithfully served others with integrity and dedication. Later in life, he discovered a gift for craftsmanship and became a talented handyman, taking great pride in using his skills to help family, friends, and those around him.

Above all, Diwer cherished his family. He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife of 29 years, Daisy; his children, Bobby, Dianna, and David; his stepchildren, Louis and Xiomara; his four beloved grandchildren, Andrea, Juan-Carlos, Lucas, and Gabriel, who brought immeasurable joy to his life, and his four siblings, Alvaro, Christina, John, and Hugo. He was preceded in death by his parents, whom he now joins in eternal rest.

Diwer found great joy in God's creation, especially in fishing, boating, and spending time by the sea. The water brought him peace, and some of his happiest moments were spent surrounded by the beauty of nature. He will be remembered for his loving heart, his gentle spirit, his sense of humor, and his steadfast support of family and friends. His presence was a blessing to all who knew him, and his memory will forever remain cherished in our hearts.

He showed us that a life devoted to serving others is a life well lived. His servant heart touched countless lives, including ours, and his example will continue to inspire us for generations to come. Though his absence leaves a profound void in our lives, the love, kindness, and selflessness he shared remain a lasting gift to all who knew him.
