Domenic Antonio DiCenso, a dedicated custodian and beloved family man, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026, in Orlando, Florida. Born on August 29, 1954, in Pattorano Sul Gizio, L'Aquila, Abruzzo, Italy, Domenic lived a life marked by steadfast commitment, warmth, and an indomitable spirit.
Domenic’s career spanned over four decades, including 16 years of devoted service at Valencia College and more than 27 years as a custodian. His work ethic was unparalleled, and he approached each day with a sense of purpose and pride. Beyond his professional achievements, Domenic was a man of many passions and interests. He cherished sports, enjoyed drawing, and found delight in watching Westerns, soap operas, and wrestling. Music- specifically Garth Brooks and The Beatles- was a constant companion throughout his life, reflecting his affectionate and joyful nature.
To those who knew him, Domenic was much more than a hardworking individual. He was funny and sweet, often inspiring those around him with his fearless approach to life's challenges. Friends and family remember him as a warrior who fought bravely through all obstacles. Among his fondest memories were moments spent laughing with family, a testament to the close-knit bonds he treasured deeply.
Domenic was tremendously proud of his beautiful wife, Mary Catherine DiCenso, and his daughter, Megan DiCenso, as well as their beloved shih tzu terrier Brady. They were the center of his world and the source of his greatest joy. He is also survived by his brother Angelo DiCenso and Angelo’s wife Carolyn, along with his sister Dora Volpe and her husband Elio Volpe. While his parents, Mario and Nerina DiCenso, have preceded him in death, Domenic’s legacy endures strongly within his loving family.
His presence illuminated the lives of those around him, and his life’s story is one of love, resilience, and dedication. Domenic Antonio DiCenso will be remembered with deep respect and affection by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
