Donald Noel O'Born

1947 – 2025

Donald Noel O’Born, 77, of Orlando, Florida, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, September 15, 2025.

He was born in Yukon, Florida, on December 25, 1947. After graduating from Kenmore High School, he was drafted into the U.S. Army. Just weeks before leaving for Vietnam, he married his high school sweetheart, Carol Davis. Together they eventually settled in Florida, where they raised their children, Megan and Joshua. Donald worked as an electrician until his retirement.

From a young age, Donald committed his heart to God, and throughout his life his faith never wavered. His deep faith and positive outlook were an encouragement to everyone he met. He served as a spiritual guidepost to many, with people often seeking his counsel and advice. He touched countless lives with his guidance, kindness, and unwavering faith.

Donald had many passions. He loved reading, writing poetry and short stories, and capturing moments through photography. He found joy in the beauty of God’s creation and also delighted in cooking delicious meals for his family. Known for his quick wit and infectious laughter, he brought joy to everyone around him.

Donald was preceded in death by his father, Henry O’Born; his mother, Marjorie Pye; and his brother, Matthew O’Born. He is survived by his devoted wife, Carol O’Born; daughter Megan (Peter) Miller; son Joshua (Patricia) O’Born; brothers Michael (Christy) O’Born and Sean O’Born; and sisters Krystal (Stephen) Cook and Kat Sharrock. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren Samantha O’Born, Ronnie Miller, Sabrina Miller, Olivia O’Born, and Emilie O’Born, as well as his great-grandchild, Raelynn King.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Donald’s memory by planting a tree in his name.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
