Donna L. Kraft

Donna L. Kraft, a beloved member of her family and community, passed away peacefully at home on April 20, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on February 6, 1945, in Chicago, IL, she brought joy and warmth to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Donna's journey through life was marked by a deep commitment to her career, having dedicated 14 significant years to Travelers Insurance before retiring. Her professional life was only one facet of her vibrant existence; Donna was also known for her rich memories shared with loved ones, particularly those cherished moments spent at the beach, on family vacations, and being surrounded by her adored grand nieces and nephews.

Education was important to Donna, and she proudly graduated from Proviso East High School. This foundation set her on a path filled with both personal growth and nurturing connections. Donna was ever devoted to her church family, where she not only found spiritual support but also engaged in meaningful service. Her passion for helping others was evident in her extensive volunteer work, including providing laundry services for a local homeless shelter. Through her actions, she inspired those around her to give back, embodying kindness and selflessness.

Surviving Donna are her son, Justin Kraft, and her niece, Jill Rempert, who will remember her not only for the laughter and light she brought into their lives but also for the values she instilled in them. The memories they created together will remain forever etched in their hearts. She is also remembered fondly by her ex-husband, Juraj Haas.

Donna is preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Lawrence, and her parents, George and Rosalie Rischow. Each of these family members played a significant role in her life, and their memories now live on through the love and lessons they shared.

In her later years, Donna continued to embrace life with an unwavering spirit, finding joy in every interaction and every opportunity to help those in need. Her legacy of love, commitment, and compassion will always be remembered and cherished by those who knew her. In a world that can often feel chaotic, Donna Kraft remained a steadfast beacon of light and love, forever missed but never forgotten.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held on Saturday, 17 May at 3pm at Friends Community Church, 53 S. Dean Rd.  Orlando, FL 32825.
