Doris Jobes

Jobes, Doris Kathrine Adeline, 85, of Orlando, FL passed away on Friday, November 19, 2004 at the Rio Pinar nursing home. She was born in Minneapolis, MN on April 9, 1919, to Oscar and Hulda (Swanson) Johnson. Doris grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from South High School in 1937. She married Lawrence R. Jobes on May 27, 1938. In 1983 she moved to Orlando after retiring from Cargill, Inc in Minneapolis, MN. She is survived by two sons and one daughter and their spouses; Larry & Sharon Jobes of Papillion, NE, Allen & Alison Jobes of Orlando, FL, and Katheryn & Jerry Mahn of Ritzville, WA. She has seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Jobes, and siblings Gladys Saunders, Myrtle Johnson, and Raymond Johnson.

Memorial services will be held at the Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd, Orlando, on Tuesday, Nov 23, 2004 at 7:00pm. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
