Listen to Obituary

Ernest A. Vosges, born June 14, 1947, in New York City, went to be with the Lord on November 7, 2025.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Cecile Vosges; his son Ernest Jr. (Bigg E); and siblings Vivian, André, Germaine, Maurice Jr., and Josiane.

Ernest served proudly in the United States Army and was a devoted Vietnam veteran. He spent 34 years employed by United Airlines as a ramp serviceman and fueler. Known for his gentle spirit, Ernest was always ready to help others- whether paying for a stranger's meal, buying a sandwich for a homeless man, or making sure his dog had food as well.

His generosity extended to charitable work. Ernest volunteered with The Children's Diabetes Association, delighting children as the Incredible Hulk during events and birthday parties. He was also deeply involved for many years in the annual Fantasy Flight for underprivileged children during the Christmas season.

Ernest is survived by his loving wife of forty-four years, Cheryl; daughters Tina Rodriguez (Albert) and Christy Acevedo (Felipe); son Kip Clark; sisters Jeanne Vosges and Micheline Vosges; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.

Ernest will be laid to rest with his fellow veterans at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held next year to honor and remember Ernest.
