Con profundo pesar, la familia anuncia el fallecimiento de Edwin Ernesto Alfaro Palacios, de 44 años, ocurrido el 22 de septiembre de 2025 en AdventHealth de Orlando, Florida. Nació el 26 de septiembre de 1980 en El Salvador, y a lo largo de su vida se destacó por su amor a la familia, su fe en Dios y las pequeñas alegrías cotidianas que le daban sentido a cada día.

Le sobreviven su padre, Timoteo Palacios Angel, esposa, Elida Alfaro ; su hijo, Iverson Alfaro; y su hija, Génesis Alfaro, de 13 años. Edwin fue un esposo dedicado y un padre amoroso que siempre puso a su familia en primer lugar.

Durante su infancia y juventud jugó fútbol de manera competitiva, deporte que practicó con pasión hasta sus veintes, cuando asumió con orgullo la paternidad. Siempre siguió de cerca a su equipo favorito, el FC Barcelona.

Edwin vivió 12 años en Massachusetts antes de mudarse a Florida en 2014, donde trabajó en el área de la construcción en Orlando. En su tiempo libre disfrutaba de coleccionar monedas, cuidar de los gallos en su patio trasero y pasar momentos de tranquilidad en su silla en el frente de la casa.

Era un hombre de fe que creía en Dios, y su calidez humana será recordada con cariño por todos los que tuvieron la dicha de conocerlo.

Servicios Funerarios

Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo el domingo 28 de septiembre de 2025 a las 3:00 p.m. en Newcomer Funeral Home – East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd, Orlando, con el Diácono Manny García oficiando.

La familia recibirá a familiares y amigos el mismo domingo 28 de septiembre de 1:00 p.m. a 4:00 p.m.

El sepelio, con oraciones de despedida, se realizará el lunes 29 de septiembre a las 10:00 a.m. en Queen of Angels Cemetery, 1901 Queen of Angels Dr, Winter Park, FL.

With deep sorrow, the family announces the passing of Edwin Ernesto Alfaro Palacios, age 44, on September 22, 2025, at AdventHealth in Orlando, Florida. He was born on September 26, 1980, in El Salvador, and throughout his life was known for his love of family, his faith in God, and the simple joys that brought meaning to his days.

He is survived by his father, Timoteo Palacios Angel; loving wife, Elida Alfaro; his son, Iverson Alfaro; and his daughter, Genesis Alfaro, age 13. Edwin was a devoted son, husband and father who always placed his family above all else.

As a child and young man, Edwin played competitive soccer, a sport he loved passionately until his twenties, when he embraced fatherhood with the birth of his first son. His love for the game never faded, and he proudly supported his favorite team, FC Barcelona.

Edwin spent 12 years in Massachusetts before moving to Florida in 2014, where he worked in the construction industry in the Orlando area. In his free time, he enjoyed collecting coins, caring for the roosters in his backyard, and sitting peacefully in his front yard chair, enjoying the company of family, friends, and neighbors.

A man of faith who believed in God, Edwin’s warmth, presence, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The family is gratefully accepting donations through GoFundMe, as well as during the funeral service, to help support them during this difficult time.

Funeral Services

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd, Orlando, with Deacon Manny Garcia officiating.

The family will receive friends and visitors on Sunday, September 28, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

A graveside service with committal prayers will follow on Monday, September 29, at 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Angels Cemetery, 1901 Queen of Angels Dr, Winter Park, FL.
