Evelyn Stanley

Evelyn Stanley, born on October 29, 1938, in Jasper, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026, in Sanford, Florida. Evelyn was a cherished mother, grandmother, and sister, known for her vibrant spirit and unwavering faith.

Evelyn dedicated nearly two decades of her life to Sprague Dearborn, followed by more than 17 years at Matthews Battery Assembly. Her career was marked by a strong work ethic and a commitment to those she served alongside.

A woman of simple pleasures, Evelyn found joy in her deep love for family and her passion for attending church, where she enjoyed gospel music and concerts. She was known for her humor and often brought laughter into the lives of everyone around her, embodying a comical and fun-loving nature that brightened even the darkest days.

Her proudest accomplishments were her family. Evelyn was a devoted mother to Jeffery (Cecili) Stanley, Cynthia Stanley, and Cathy Stanley. She reveled in her role as a grandmother, always making time for her grandchildren: Lavelle, Jessica, Camille, Jeffery Jr., Eboni, Syreeta, Sheena (Deidrick), Synthya, Tyel, Duayne, and J'Dea. Evelyn's dedication to her family was evident, as she never missed an opportunity to share in their lives and milestones.

Evelyn is survived by her beloved children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, as well as her sister-in-law, Valerie Lee. She was preceded in death by her son, Ivon Stanley; her father, George Stanley; her mother, Eliza Yulee; and her brother, Major Kenneth Lee.

The visitation will be held on January 31, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Calvary Temple of Praise, located at 2020 McCracken Road, Sanford, FL 32771. A gathering will continue after the service until 3:00 PM.

Evelyn Stanley leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion that will be cherished by all who had the privilege to know her.
