Everett Naugle, 90, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025, just 20 days shy of his 91st birthday. Born in Pontiac, Michigan, Everett lived a long, rich, and joy-filled life marked by hard work, adventure, and a deep love for his family. Everett and Donna were married for 61 years and spent most of their lives in Lake Orion, Michigan, where they built their home, raised their daughters, and created countless cherished memories. Later in life, they became proud “snowbirds,” spending six months in Michigan and six months in Texas before eventually moving to McAllen, Texas full-time.
Everett proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Following his military service, he dedicated 30 years to the Oakland County Road Commission, serving his community with integrity, commitment, and pride.
A man of remarkable energy, Everett embraced life to its fullest. He loved golfing, bike riding, snowmobiling, motorcycle riding, rollerblading, boating, camping, square dancing, traveling, swimming, and playing pickleball. He never stopped moving, learning, or exploring. His generous heart extended into volunteer work as well, including serving at his church’s food pantry in Texas. A man of strong Christian faith, Everett lived each day with kindness, compassion, and gratitude.
Everett was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna Naugle; his son, Timothy Naugle; and his siblings Clyde Smith, Neomia Smith Clark, Ruth Smith Morrow, Myrtle Smith Hardy, Maude Naugle Fernald, Paul Naugle, and Betty Mae Naugle Pace.
He is survived by his daughters Terri Naugle-Ashton (Matt Ashton) and Betty Jo Naugle-Conley (Bruce Conley); his grandchildren Stephan Ashton (Carley Ashton), David Ashton, Michael Conley, Sarah Conley-McInerney (Tim McInerney), Emily Conley-Roselle (Anthony Roselle), and Laura Beth Conley-Espinoza (Jesus Espinoza); and his great-grandchildren Gavin Ashton, Parker Ashton, Liam Espinoza, and Grace Roselle. Everett was an incredible Papa — always present, always joyful, and always making life fun. His family was truly his greatest blessing.
Everett’s daughters cherish the beautiful memories he created and the endless laughter he brought into even the simplest moments. He turned everyday experiences into adventures and taught his children how to embrace life with joy.
A celebration of Everett’s life will be announced at a later date.
His memory will forever be a blessing to all who loved him. We rejoice knowing he is now in the presence of Jesus, reunited with Donna and Timothy — laughing, celebrating, and wrapped in perfect peace.
