Francisca "Paquita" Febus Nieves

Francisca Febus Nieves, age 96, of Orlando, FL, formerly of the Bronx, NY passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.

She was born on October 10, 1928 in Toa Ata, PR, one of seven children born to her late parents, Monserate Nieves and Tomasa Febus. On October 16, 1948, she was married to her husband, Genaro Febus, who preceded her in death on July 2, 2014.

Francisca is survived by five chidlren, daughter, Nelida Palumbo, daughter, Maria Bozan, daughter, Evelyn Castellanos, and her husband, Joseph, son, Andy Febus, and his wife, Frances, and daughter, Gloria Febus and her significant other, Tony Torres; twelve grandchildren, Norma JeanPierre, Jose Daniel Matos, Victor Matos, Melissa Marie Bozan Cepeda, Jon-Ray Bozan, Christina Marie Castellanos, Joseph Paul Castellanos, Tiffany Marie Menares, Ralph-Michael Palumbo, Rachel Marie Palumbo-Lopez, Lauren Ashley Mandigo, Emily Marie Febus; sixteen great-grandchildren, Brianna Febus, Destiny Bozan Rivera, Deijah Bozan, Troy Palumbo, Xavier Castellanos, Vanessa Castellanos, Luca Koen Williams, Mya Menares, Jade Matos, Alexis Matos, Stephanie Matos, Justin Matos, Jessica Matos, Matthew JeanPierre, Anthony JeanPierre, and Stephen JeanPierre; one great great-grandchild, Nevaeh Rivera; her sister, Eva (Bary) Izquierdo; and two brothers, Ismael Nieves, and Jesus Nieves.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Genaro Febus; a daughter, Margarita Matos; two brothers, Catalino Nieves, and Abraham Nieves; and a sister, Luz Maria Nieves.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd, Orlando.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 28 at 10:00 am St. Isaac Jogues Church, 4301 S. Chickasaw Trail, Orlando, with Fr. Jose Bautista officiating.

Burial will follow the mass on Thursday, August 28 at 1:30 pm at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US-1, Mims, FL 32754.
