Gary Garcia, a devoted and loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle, passed away on April 21, 2026, surrounded by the love and care of his beloved family.
Born on May 13, 1962, in Toledo, Ohio, to proud parents Regino and Martha Garcia, Gary was the youngest of six children. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his cherished wife, Carol; light of his life(son), Aidan (Maddie); his siblings Ray, Frank, Rosie, Toni (Karen), and Gloria (Bob), as well as many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews who loved him dearly.
Growing up, Gary enjoyed sports and an active lifestyle. He had a lifelong love for tennis, cross country, and golf—passions he later shared with his son, Aidan, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
After high school, Gary proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Following his service, he attended the University of Toledo in 1987 to study architecture, where life led him to meet the love of his life, Carol.
Their first meeting took place in an algebra class, where Carol was immediately struck by Gary’s sharp sense of style—his neatly combed-back hair, pin-striped suit, long trench coat, polished shoes, and briefcase in hand. Gary, in his quiet and endearing way, “needed help” in class, and Carol was right there to assist him. What began as simple conversations grew into something deeply meaningful, as they shared daily moments that slowly blossomed into a beautiful courtship. Gary’s true gentleman nature shined through—he would wait for Carol after class each day and walk her wherever she needed to go, a gesture of care and devotion he continued throughout their life together.
Gary and Carol were married in 1994 and later welcomed their greatest joy and accomplishment, their son Aidan, in 2002.
Gary was a devoted family man who loved deeply and without hesitation. His faith was the foundation of his life, guiding him as a husband, father, and friend. He found joy in life’s simplest and most meaningful moments—walking along the beach with Carol, watching Aidan grow into the man he became, spending time with his extended family, and joyfully cheering on his beloved Miami Dolphins on Sundays. Those Sundays often meant pizza shared with Carol and Aidan, laughter in the living room, and time spent together as a family—moments Gary treasured most.
He also had a passion for photography, often capturing his family’s everyday moments with quiet intention, preserving memories that now hold even greater meaning. No matter the occasion, Gary could always be found behind the camera, ensuring life’s most meaningful moments were never missed.
Above all, Gary lived for his wife and son, who were the center of his world. His love for them was steady, selfless, and unwavering.
Gary’s deep love, quiet strength, and unwavering faith will continue to live on through his family. He will be remembered for the way he loved so fully, his deep faith and love of God, his gentle spirit, and the simple, meaningful way he walked through life.
