He dedicated 26 years of his career to Wendy's corporate, where he served as a district manager. His commitment and work ethic earned him respect and admiration from colleagues and employees alike. Gilbert's professional journey was marked by his compassionate leadership and unwavering support for those around him.
Education was important to Gilbert, who attended University High School. In addition to his successful career, he was a nurturing individual with a funny, sarcastic sense of humor, drawing people in with his friendly demeanor. He was known for his caring nature, always lending a hand to others and making those around him feel valued. His honesty, humility, and uplifting spirit were just a few qualities that endeared him to friends and family.
In his leisure time, Gilbert had varied interests that showcased his lively personality. He was a big fan of Power Rangers and Anime, enjoying vintage music that brought him joy. Nature shows provided him with a sense of peace and relaxation, and he cherished the company of his two beloved parakeets.
One of his proudest accomplishments was helping his mother, Viviana M. Saladin-Selpuveda, become a citizen of the United States in August 2025. This act of love is a lasting testament to his nurturing spirit and deep-seated values.
Gilbert is survived by his loving family, which includes his mother, Viviana M. Saladin-Selpuveda; sister, Maria D. Trujillo; grandmother, Carmen M. Miranda; nephews, Nathaniel A. Nanan, Alexzander R. Permanand, and Xavier J. Permanand; and grandnephew, Brayden W. Nanan. He is preceded in death by his father, Gilberto Pagan.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Gilbert's life during the visitation on February 4, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by the Funeral Service from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Orlando, located at 895 S Goldenrod Rd, Orlando, FL 32822.
