Heliodora Cordero, age 84, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Cordero and her son, Juan Daniel Cordero.

Heliodora was born on July 3, 1942 in Isabella, Puerto Rico. Heliodora known as Doris was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a beautiful loving generous woman. She was the caregiver for her mother, Maria Cinton as a pillar of family support, a woman who loved and supported her extended family wholeheartedly. Heliodora was deeply devoted to her family, often described as the heart of her household.

She is known for loving the Lord and being a good and faithful Christian. Heliodora was known for being a family caregiver and was very generous with family members. She cherished the time she spent with those she loved.

She enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts, jigsaw puzzles and gardening with orchids being her favorite flower.

Heliodora shared many conversations and memories with her sister, Antonia Cordero who lived nearby, shared many traditions and gatherings with their families. Wherever, Heliodora moved to, her sister, Antonia proceeded to move near her. What a beautiful relationship the sisters and their families shared.

Heliodora also had a sister named Luisa Rivera that lived in Brooklyn, New York. She loved to travel to Brooklyn to visit her sister and the family. She enjoyed many family gatherings and loved her sister Luisa’s home cooked meals. Recently, when mom was in the hospital, she mentioned that she wanted to go to Brooklyn to see her sister Luisa. A memory that she cherished for many years.

She is survived by her three daughters, Loyda Pomales, Ana Russell and Evelyn Cordero, one adopted son, Juan Daniel Cordero Jr, their spouses, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Mom or Grandma, your memory will live on in all of our hearts forever. She will be deeply loved, forever remembered, and greatly missed. We love you forever and always, your entire beloved family.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 10:00 am at Faith Church Orlando, Stephens Chapel, 9307 Curry Ford Road, Orlando, Florida 32825.

Interment will be on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 2400 Harrell Road, Orlando, Florida 32817.
