Hon Hip

Hon Lai Hip, 99, passed peacefully at home on Sunday, February 1, 2026, surrounded by family. Hon was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, known for her sweet nature and genuine kindness. She took great pride in feeding her family, her love language that brought family together. Her kitchen was the undisputed hearth of the home. A true matriarch, she was the pillar of the family and took great joy in the time spent together.

Fierce and unapologetically herself, she never hesitated to speak her mind or stand up for what she believed in. She taught her family these same values.

She will be remembered for her caring heart and the quiet strength she brought to her family.

Hon is survived by her daughter Hong Tang and her husband Thanh Vuong, her son Thanh Quang Pham and his wife You Heang Lim, her beloved grandchildren: Vinny and his wife Molly, Tina, Nick and his wife Evelyn, Jack, Tai and his fiancée Vy, Thanh Hung and his fiancée Mylene, Emily, Rosa and her fiancé Wei, Tisa, and Andre, her beloved great grandchildren: Dylan, Orlando, Edward, Jayden, Kaitlyn, Ariane, Brandon, Olivia, Lucas, Elena, Jackson, Jace, Dylan, Emma-Rose; and the rest of the family.
