Inga M. Randolph

Inga Randolph, age 92, of Orlando, Florida, passed away peacefully in her home on July 24, 2026. Originally from Iceland, Inga was born on June 6, 1934 in Reykjavík, Iceland to Marino Valdinarson and Gudrun Gudmundsdottir. After graduating from high school, Inga worked at the dairy store in Reykjavík. One evening Inga decided to attend a dance at the local dance hall where her life would forever change in the most blessed way! She met a handsome sailor who swept her off her feet and persuaded her to move to the States. On April 23, 1954 she married William (Bill) Randolph, her husband of 56 years. Inga faithfully "served" and traveled with Bill to many duty stations - some of them to different countries. Bill's final duty station brought them to Orlando. Along with raising five children, Inga became a seamstress for the new recruits on the Navy Base. She worked there for 24 years where her immeasurable work ethics were recognized and she earned the top leader award, the superior accomplishment recognition award and the customer contact associate of the month numerous times! She was also promoted to supervisor. In 1989 Inga was diagnosed with breast cancer, however, it did not slow her down one bit. She handled it with the same grace and sheer determination as she did her work. When she retired in April of 1994, the Commander of the Supply Corps wrote "high level of initiative," "quality work," "willing and highly capable associate," "outstanding speed," and "can be relied upon to follow through and complete assignments." After retiring, Inga quickly went into her most beloved role of grandmother - and later great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She loved to play with them and never turned down an opportunity for a sleepover nor did she ever not stop what she was doing to help out when her children or daughter-in-law‘s/son-in-law's needed her. In 2007 Inga took her knowledge of her breast cancer journey and started volunteering for Compassionate Hands and Hearts Breast Cancer Outreach where she encouraged other breast cancer warriors to never give up! Inga was an absolutely amazing wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and genuine friend who will be greatly missed!

She is preceded in death by her husband, William; her brother, Gudmundur Marinosson; her sister, Sigridur Olina Marinosdottir; and her grandson, Bobby Randolph.

Left to forever cherish her memories - She is survived by her daughters, Alda Wessman (Ragnar), Deborah Miller, Susan Randolph; sons William Randolph (Sabreina) and Lloyd Randolph (Jacqueline). Grandchildren, Dogg Matthews (Antoin), Inga Wessman, Lori Lang, Kelly Lang, Vince Randolph (Victoria), Kyle Randow (Lindsay), Rachel Randolph - along with 12 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on August 1, 2026 at 2 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home on 895 S. Goldenrod Rd., Orlando, FL 32822
