Iola G. Michael

September 17, 1936 — September 15, 2025

Winter Springs

Listen to Obituary

Iola Geraldine (Foster) Michael, went home to be with Jesus on September 15, 2025.

Beloved wife of Raymond E. Michael; cherished mother of Judy Michael and Jean (Paul) Carland; dear grandmother of Kelsey Michael (Devon), Grace (Luke) Cunningham, Erin Carland, and Amara Saunders; treasured aunt to Will and Bob (Sheri) Dubberke.

Iola was preceded in death by her parents, Winfred Foster and Annie Foster, and her sister, Ethelmay (Raymond) Dubberke.

Iola loved her family and friends and never missed an opportunity to play cards or dominos (preferably with a slice of pie and hot coffee). She enjoyed singing and played the organ as long as her health allowed.

Most importantly, Iola loved Jesus and was confident that she would one day see Him face-to-face. As her health declined, Iola clung to Isaiah 41:10, which was her confirmation verse, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Iola leaves behind a legacy of faith and will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Interment will take place at a later date at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma.
