Isabel Lorraine Correia, born on August 8, 1931, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026. She was a devoted registered nurse whose compassionate career spanned over five decades, embodying kindness, thoughtfulness, and genuine care in all her professional and personal encounters.
Isabel's lifelong dedication to nursing began after she attended the Charlotte Memorial School of Nursing, where she laid the foundation for what would become an extraordinary vocation. Her commitment to healing and nurturing others was matched only by her warm personality and unwavering empathy, qualities that endeared her to patients and colleagues alike throughout her remarkable career.
Beyond her professional achievements, Isabel was known for her love of baking, gardening, and reading—pastimes through which she expressed creativity and cultivated joy. Many fond memories were made by those close to her during holiday seasons, especially in the kitchen where helping her bake became a cherished tradition and a testament to her nurturing spirit.
She is lovingly remembered by her son, Keith Correia; her niece, Linda Hampsch, and her husband, Steve Hampsch; her nephews, Charles Wallace and his wife, Linda, and Harold "Butch" Algar and his wife, Linda; along with several grand and great-grand nieces and nephews who carry forward the warmth and kindness she so generously shared.
Isabel was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Correia, her father, Harold S. Algar; her mother, Pearl Dry Algar; her sister, Marguerite DerNederlanden; and her brother, Harold D. Algar.
Isabel Lorraine Correia’s life was a profound testament to compassion, resilience, and family. Her legacy will live on in the many lives she touched through her healing hands and generous heart. She will be deeply missed and forever honored by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
