Listen to Obituary

Ivelisse Ramos (Ive / Vilsie), age 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and the faith that guided her life each and every day.

Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Antonio y Pura Ramos, Ivelisse grew to build a life rooted in faith, family, and friendship.

She graduated from the Academia Perpetuo Socorro Catholic School and later attended Sacred Heart College. Due to her love of Christ, she then went on to the School Sister Notre Dame Convent in Wilton CT. After schooling she went on to work as a secretary for her father, a medical doctor.

After the family relocated from Puerto Rico to Florida in 1980, she co-owned a dry cleaning and laundromat business. Later, in 1987, she would go on to take classes at the Seminole Community College in Lake Mary, FL and become a medical assistant. This led to 20+ years in the medical field at the Florida Hospital and later the Lake Mary Family Practice, before retiring.

A devoted servant of Christ, her greatest accomplishment and biggest blessing was seeing all her kids know and love Jesus Christ.

Ivelisse found great joy in simple moments spent with those she loved most -family gatherings in her home hosting Thanksgivings and Christmas’ for the whole family and grandchildren. Her presence brought comfort, laughter, wisdom, and strength to those she knew. More than anything, she loved her family deeply and wholeheartedly. She was a loving and supportive mother to her five children and a shining example of Christ to her eleven beloved grandchildren.

Ivelisse was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio Ramos-Oller and Pura Ramos and siblings Antonio Ramos and Vivian Piza.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Ivelisse Johstono (Alan) of Lake Mary, FL, Ivan Carbia (Kim) of Winter Springs, FL, Maria Hibbard of Sanford, FL, Enrique Carbia (Mandy) of Atlanta, GA and Jose Carbia (Kim) of Palm Coast, FL; her grandchildren, Tyler Hibbard, Lauren Litz (Ryan), Sydney Hibbard, Taylor Carbia, Micah Johstono, Cameron Carbia, Daniel Johstono, Jordan Carbia (Ava), Nicholas Carbia, Tanner Hibbard and Kaelyn Carbia; sibling, Enrique Ramos (Magdalena).
