James P. Benson

James P. Benson, 94 departed this life on October 4, 2024. He loved and is loved by his sons James P. Benson, Jr.(Ruth) and Thomas G. Benson; daughter-in-law, Jenan Jones Benson; grandchildren, Andy Benson, Matt Benson, Lindsey Simpson, Rachel Tuggle and Amanda Wilde; great- grandchildren, Noah, Gabriel and Juliet Benson, Nash and Remy Tuggle and Louisa Wilde. He is predeceased by parents, Velma and Bill Benson, wife, Jean Benson, son David R. Benson and grandson James P. Benson III. 

James was a graduate of Seminole High School in Sanford. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Mr. Benson retired from CSX Railroad in 1995. During his retirement he enjoyed restoring classic automobiles.

A graveside service for both Mr. and Mrs. Benson will be held at a later date.
