Janet Lee Ditmer Wiley

November 15, 1934 — May 29, 2025

Janet Lee (Ditmer) Wiley passed away May 29, 2025. Janet was born in Dayton, Ohio on November 15th, 1934. Born to Faron Lee Ditmer and Amanda Hazel (Wassamire) Ditmer.

In 1943 her family moved to Central Florida. Along with her brother Charles she attended local elementary, Junior High and High School. She graduated from Winter Park High School in 1952 and shortly thereafter went to work at the Orlando Credit Bureau.

The following year she moved with her parents to Columbia, SC to be near her brother Charles and his wife Ruby (Hammond) Ditmer.

She met and married Jim Arrington in 1954. After their divorce she continued working at the Credit Bureau in Columbia.

In 1960 she married Bela Andresz, who had immigrated from Pecs (Pay-ch), Hungary. Bela was a Specialist 4th Class member of the US Army from 1959-1964.

Due to Bela’s assignment near Frankfurt, Germany, Janet and her parents moved back to Florida. Their daughter Angela was born in 1962 in Orlando. About 6 months later Janet and Angela joined Bela in Germany.

After a short break from military service, Bela re-enlisted. Their 2nd daughter, Judith Amanda, was born in Feb 1965. Bela served in the Army until his death in Sept 1965.

In May 1967 Janet married Henry W. Wiley (Hank), Retired U.S. Marine Corp. In June of 1968 they welcomed their daughter Laura Arrelia. They joined the Orange Avenue Church of God that same year.

Janet was a homemaker, retail specialist for Rutland’s and Shirley’s Bible Book Store and retired from Sun Bank in 1993. During retirement she enjoyed board games, cards, going to movies, and traveling. However, one of her greatest joys was Friday night family dinners where she could spend time with her 3 grandchildren.

She loved Jesus and was a faithful member of Faith Springs Church for the last 20 years.
