Jeanne Anne Barry, a remarkable and indomitable spirit, passed away on January 5, 2026, at AdventHealth Orlando Hospice. Born on September 26, 1941, in Manhattan, New York, she developed a strong foundation that would guide her through a life characterized by resilience, grace, and unwavering determination.
Jeanne began her career at Disney, where she took on the role of team lead at EPCOT. This early experience showcased her leadership and passion for bringing joy to others. Later, she dedicated over 17 years of her professional life as a medical biller for pathology at Bill America, demonstrating her commitment and hard work in every endeavor she undertook.
An alumna of Glen Rock High School in Glen Rock, New Jersey, Jeanne displayed a vibrant personality throughout her life. She was known for her ability to lead by example, consistently giving of herself to those around her. A strong and resilient woman, she faced life's challenges head-on, refusing to allow nonsense from others to deter her from her path. Her devotion to family was complemented by her interests and passions. An ardent fan of the New York Yankees, Jeanne could often be found cheering for her team. Her favorite TV show, "Everybody Loves Raymond," was a testament to her appreciation for humor and warmth. Jeanne was a devout Catholic who prayed for everyone and offered daily rosaries and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy to all those she loved. She was a faithful communicant and generous donor to St. John Vianney and Blessed Trinity Churches.
Jeanne's personal life was filled with pride, especially in her role as a mother. She is survived by her children: Patricia Harris, Samuel Richard Popper, and Mark Daniel Popper. Jeanne was a celebrated grandmother to five grandchildren, Collen Popper-Grahek, Kim Harris, Jeannie Harris, Michael Harris, and Christian Harris, each of whom brought her immense joy and fulfillment. She also leaves behind her brother, Jack Barry, and her former husband, Samuel Richard Popper.
As we remember Jeanne, we celebrate the strength, love, and joy she shared with all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, inspiring us to emulate her example of generosity, resilience, and unwavering love.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Grace (Heath) Barry, as well as her brother, Hank Barry, and sister, Christine Stephens. Their influence and love will remain a cherished part of her legacy.
