Jennie Ann Jones, age 90, of Winter Park, Florida passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, William Herbert Jones, sisters Joyce Barry and Jessie DellaValle, and parents, Harold Wilcox (Pauline) and Mary Decker.
She is survived by her daughters, who along with her husband were the best part of her life; Cheryl Ann Smith, Linda (Michael) Giunta, Diane (Joseph) Arrington. Her grandchildren, Aaron Michael (Nicole) Smith, Matthew Lee Giunta, Brittany Ann Arrington, Michael William Giunta, Angela Rose Giunta and Kandice Marie Arrington, great-grandchildren, Rylie Dean Smith and Dalton Trace Smith, and sisters, Judith (Judy) Durlack and Sara (Sally) Chasteen.
Jennie graduated from Searles High in Great Barrington, Massachusetts and joined the US Air Force serving in communications as a cryptographer as did her husband, Bill (aka Spike). They were married at Camp Lindsey in Wiesbaden, Germany. After her service in the US Air Force, Jennie worked at Dean Witter Stock brokerage in Washington DC and upon relocating to Florida, the Real Estate arm of the Department of Professional Regulation in Orlando, Fl which she retired from in March 2000.
Retirement life for Jennie was filled with joy golfing, card games, and social events with her husband, Bill and dear friends at the place she loved most, Rio Pinar Country Club
Visitation is Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with funeral service starting at 11:00 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (Winter Park Chapel), 3806 Howell Branch Rd, Winter Park, Florida 32792.
Jennie will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at 2:00 pm.
The family invites you to join us in celebrating and honoring the life of our beloved mother, Jennie. Please gather with us at Jennie's house at 6:00pm for appetizers and drinks as we share stories, memories and the joy she brought to so many lives.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Central Florida Ronald McDonald House in her honor.
