Jerry Rodger Jordan, born January 6, 1943, passed away on October 2, 2026.
Jerry will be remembered as a funny, kind, and loving man whose presence brought warmth and energy to those around him. He had a mischievous streak and was known as a troublemaker in the most affectionate sense, someone who could make others laugh and lighten a room. He loved both teaching and learning new things, and that curiosity stayed with him throughout his life. To those who knew him best, Jerry was also someone who seemed able to do anything, meeting life with capability, heart, and determination.
Among the memories most treasured by his family were trips to the beach together, times that reflected the closeness he shared with those he loved. His proudest accomplishment was the life he built with his beloved wife, Rue and family. Their marriage of 65 years stood as a lasting testament to devotion, partnership, and love.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Rue Jordan; his children, Michael Jordan and Michel Jordan; his brother, Don Jordan; and his grandchildren, Lisa Stiles, John Stiles, Stacy Dilts, Nikita Jordan, Savannah Jordan, and Mikaela Thomas; and 12 great grandchildren. He is also remembered by Charles Vand Zandt, his military partner, whose bond with Jerry held special meaning.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Jordan; his mother, Verna Jordan; and his brothers, Richard and Dale.
Jerry’s life was marked by love for his family, a generous spirit, and a lively personality that will not be forgotten. He leaves behind cherished memories and the enduring example of a life shared deeply with others. He will be missed and lovingly remembered always.
