He was born on July 20, 1965 in Bronx, New York. Jesus was an avid sports fan, especially of the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League and the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball.
Jesus was preceded in death by his brother, David Ruiz and is survived by his loving wife, Denise (Delgado) Ruiz; sons, Andrew Ruiz and Jesus Ruiz, Jr.; parents, Manuel and Doris Ruiz and his grandchildren, Alyssa Ruiz, Zoey Ruiz and Nadine Ruiz.
